From your initial contact with us and then throughout your journey to optimal hormonal health, we will guide and support you every step of the way
At The Men’s Health Clinic, we pride ourselves on delivering a truly personalised service tailored to your unique needs and goals. We understand that no two people are the same, which is why we take the time to get to know you as an individual. Our approach is centred around collaboration – we work with you, not just for you – to help you achieve optimal hormonal balance. Throughout your journey, we provide honest, realistic expectations, empowering you to feel like the best version of yourself once again.
We recognise that the initial costs of treatment may appear higher when compared to online providers. However, we strongly believe that the level of care, attention, and clinical expertise you receive from our experienced team is unparalleled. What we offer isn’t a one-size-fits-all service or a transactional model of care – this is a partnership built on trust, continuity, and commitment. Your journey with us is just that – a journey. One that evolves over time, guided by ongoing support, progressive treatment, and a deep understanding of your changing needs. Choosing who you partner with on your path to optimal hormonal health is a major decision, and we take that responsibility seriously.
When you first reach out to The Men’s Health Clinic, your journey will typically begin via one of three main pathways, depending on your needs and prior medical history. These routes are outlined below to help you better understand the first steps in your care with us.

No Previous Investigations or Diagnosis of Testosterone Deficiency
Before booking a New Patient TRT Consultation and commencing treatment under our care, you will need to have a formal diagnosis of Testosterone Deficiency.
An accurate diagnosis can only be made following a comprehensive blood test that includes a full hormone panel, as well as your more general health parameters which would highlight any potential reversible causes for your low testosterone. You would then need a second, more basic, confirmatory test four weeks later to confirm those initial results.
If you feel that you are suffering with the signs and symptoms of Testosterone Deficiency and are based in the UK, we can help you with organising the necessary diagnostic blood testing through clinic. This will be followed by a courtesy telephone call with our doctor at no additional charge.
During this complimentary call, they will review your initial comprehensive blood results with you and give you their professional recommendations for moving forwards. TRT should always be viewed as a life-long therapy, treatment will only be recommended if you have already attempted to address any negative health and lifestyle factors, or there are no obvious reversible causes for your low testosterone.
If you wish to discuss your personal situation further prior to committing to any treatment with us, you are welcome to book a 15-minute Telephone Consultation with one of our doctors. There is a £50 fee for this service.
Your first appointment will always involve an in-person consultation with your doctor in clinic. At this appointment your doctor will thoroughly review your bloodwork, discuss your current symptoms and conduct a thorough physical examination before commencing treatment with you.
We will always look at your medical history and current/past medication usage which may be influencing your current state of health, and the ongoing decisions we make about your care.
Your social history is also taken into consideration, including any past drug usage, as this can often provide a useful insight into your current testosterone level. The information you give is in complete confidence so the more information you give us, the more we can potentially assist you.
Where appropriate, your doctor will go through safe preparation of your injectable medications, and gently guide you through safe and correct injection technique so that you leave the consultation room with confidence, ready to embark on the next stage in your journey.
At the end of your consultation you will have complimentary use of our InBody 770 body composition scanner. This allows us to record and track data relating to your physical health, as well as providing you with a benchmark to work from. You will be offered repeat scanning every 12 months if you attend clinic for your routine follow up consultations. There is no additional fee for this service.
We are always happy to support you in approaching your GP to have your ongoing blood tests and medications organised under the NHS where possible. A letter requesting shared-care with your GP can be issued at the end of your consultation, or at a later date, if required.
Please allow up to 60 minutes for this appointment.
Confirmed Testosterone Deficiency But Not On Any Treatment
This route is for anyone who has been concerned about their hormone levels and has already taken the proactive step of having blood tests taken to see if they may have low testosterone. This includes all international patients.
If you have already had recent blood tests carried out demonstrating possible low testosterone and wish to be considered for treatment by our clinic, please forward those to us by email, including what led you to test in the first instance. These will be reviewed by our doctor, who will personally contact you by email with their professional recommendations. There is no charge for this service.
If you wish to discuss your personal situation further prior to committing to any treatment with us, you are welcome to book a 15-minute Telephone Consultation with one of our doctors, however please be aware that they would not be able to offer you specific medical advice as part of this call. After commencing treatment with us, you will have regular blood tests and follow up reviews with your clinician to ensure the continued safe and effective prescribing of your Testosterone Replacement Therapy. The timeline for these routine reviews is detailed below.
Based on the treatment option you selected during your New Patient Consultation, you will undergo a blood test either 4 or 12 weeks after starting therapy to evaluate your body’s response. Since everyone is unique and may respond differently to treatment, it’s crucial that this blood test is completed and reviewed at this stage.
For this appointment, we can help you organise a TRT PROTOCOL blood panel through clinic, or your GP may agree to organising these tests for you. If this is the case, please ensure that they include all of the tests listed in the above panel.
Once we have received your results, you will be asked to schedule a 15-minute Telephone Consultation with your doctor to review your results, discuss how therapy is going and for any adjustments to be made to your starting protocol if necessary.
You are welcome to book a Telephone Consultation between routine follow-ups if you wish to discuss your current treatment plan with your doctor over the phone, rather than by email.
Please allow up to 15 minutes for this appointment.
Again, depending on which treatment option you selected at your new patient consultation, your first formal follow up will be either 11 or 24 weeks into therapy with us.
This consultation is an opportunity for your doctor to review your current protocol, discuss any health concerns that you might have and formulate an on-going action plan so that we can continue to safely and effectively prescribe your TRT.
Your next 4-6 months of medications will also be issued at this appointment.
We are firm believers in the value of human contact and a personal approach, which is at the very heart of our ethos. Therefore, we always encourage patients to attend the clinic for their follow up consultations whenever possible. During your visit, any necessary monitoring blood tests can be conducted as part of your consultation, so there’s no need to arrange them in advance.
Please allow up to 30 minutes for all clinic appointments.
If you wish to arrange your blood test and consultation remotely, we can help you organise a TRT REVIEW blood panel through clinic, or your GP may agree to organising these for you. If this is the case, please ensure that they include all of the tests listed in the above panel.
When booking your follow up appointment, you can choose between a 15-minute (£80) or 30-minute (£160) session. If everything is progressing well with no concerns to address, you may opt for the 15-minute appointment. However, if you have any updates or need more time, please select the 30-minute appointment.
After your second follow up consultation, you will be routinely reviewed once every 6-12 months, along with up to date blood results, where your doctor will review your current protocol, discuss any health concerns that you might have and formulate an on-going action plan so that we can continue to safely and effectively prescribe your TRT.
At the end of each routine follow up, you will be issued with your standard 4-6 month medications, with pre-authorisation of your repeat prescriptions to take you to your next appointment. Your repeat medications can be requested as you need them by telephone or email.

All international patients are required to attend clinic every 12 months for a physical examination and to collect their medications.
If you are based in the UK and have opted for your follow up consultations to be carried out remotely, you will need to provide evidence of a recent blood pressure check prior to your appointment. This can be arranged through your GP, pharmacy or another private provider.
Please forward the above evidence by email prior to your video consultation, as your next prescription(s) will not be issued or dispensed until your notes have been updated with this information.
Occasionally, additional blood tests are required when protocol adjustments have been made outside of your routine reviews. We can help you arrange a TRT PROTOCOL blood panel through clinic, or your GP may agree to organising this for you. If so, please ensure that they include all of the tests listed in the above panel.
Once we have your results, your doctor will review them and contact you by email with any further action. There is no additional fee for this email service.
If you would prefer to discuss the results with your doctor over the phone, please book a 15-minute Telephone Consultation. There is a £50 fee for this service.
