Yes, our clinic is registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which is a legal requirement for all healthcare providers in the UK.

The CQC are the independent regulator of health and social care in England, we are are regularly assessed and inspected by them to ensure continued safe and effective care.

Yes, all of our doctors are fully licensed medical doctors and are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).

All doctors are bound by the same ethical codes.  You can have confidence that any information shared during the course of your consultation is strictly confidential between you and your doctor, and will not be shared with anyone else without your explicit consent.

If you have any questions or require any further information, please contact us by telephone, email or via the enquiry form on our contact page and one of our experienced team members will be happy to help you.

If you cannot attend for your appointment and need to cancel for any reason, please give us at least 48 hours notice by clicking on the red ‘Cancel Booking’ link on your original appointment confirmation email, or by contacting us as soon as possible by phone or email.

The full cost of the consultation or appointment fee will be incurred for any appointments cancelled without the required notice.

Once you have been through the diagnostic process, all new patients must have an initial face-to-face consultation in clinic in order to commence treatment with us.

After your initial consultation, you would only need to attend the clinic for an annual review, with all interim consultations taking place by telephone or video call.

This is non-negotiable, even for our international patients.

No, The Men’s Health Clinic is a private medical clinic and so you can self-refer.

At your new patient consultation you will be offered a letter detailing your diagnosis and treatment, for you to give to your GP or consultant if you choose to do so. This can also be requested at a later date if required.

Of course, the more information we can gather, the more comprehensive service we can deliver to you. However, please ensure that any blood test results are from an accredited laboratory and contain your full patient details.

Please email full copies of any relevant blood results, investigations, clinical letters or medical records to us prior to your appointment.  Alternatively, hard copies can be brought along to your consultation to be scanned and uploaded into your patient file while you are in clinic.

We are always happy to support you in approaching your GP to have your ongoing blood tests and medications organised under the NHS where possible, whilst you remain under the care of our clinic.

A letter requesting shared care with your GP can be issued at the end of your consultation, or at a later date, if required. There is no additional fee for this service.

As a registered patient, we can dispense most, if not all, of your prescribed medication directly from clinic.

If you would prefer to source your own medication, or are prescribed something that we do not have in clinic, you will be issued with a private prescription which can be dispensed at any high street pharmacy.  There is a £15 administrative fee for all private prescriptions issued from clinic.

Both testosterone and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) are both Schedule 4, Part 2 controlled drugs.

We can provide you with a travel letter, as described in the above guidance, to give you peace of mind whilst travelling with your medications. There is an admin fee for this service.

The costs for all consultations and services that we provide are clearly detailed on the relevant pages of our website.

If there is anything that you cannot find clear costs for, please contact us and we will be more than happy to provide you with further information.

If you are a registered patient and require clinical advice between routine reviews, please email us with a summary of your concern. We aim to review your email within 48-72 hours and advise you on the appropriate course of action.

If you would prefer to speak to your doctor by telephone, you are welcome to book a 15-minute Telephone Consultation with them. All Telephone Consultations are booked into normal clinic hours, where your doctor will have access to your medical records and can update them accordingly.

Whilst you are awaiting contact with your doctor, if you are concerned that you require urgent medical attention, please contact your usual GP, Out-of-Hours service or Accident & Emergency Department.

If you are a registered patient and unhappy with any aspect of the service you have received from us, we would welcome the opportunity of resolving this for you.
